This is medium weight gi.
If this is your first time wearing a canvas gi it will seem heavy at first but you'll soon get used to it. The stiffness of the fabric holds any perspiration away from your skin so you feel more comfortable when training.

NOTE: The fabric used in the manufacture of this gi was measured by the linear yard, not by the usual square yard measurement so it feels about 1oz less than the labeled weight.
This uniform is NOT pre-shrunk. It is made with a shrinkage allowance to allow for natural shrinkage when washed, so before washing it will feel about 1 size too large. After washing the uniform will feel thicker and be a comfortable fit. Wash in cold water and dry in the open air.
