—They shouldn’t be too tight or too loose.
Focus on Technique
—Start with basic punching techniques. Practice jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts.
—Incorporate combinations to improve your coordination and rhythm.
—Work on your defense techniques like blocking and parrying.
Use focus mitts
—Practice your punches and combinations on focus mitts to build power and endurance.
—Pay attention to your form and technique to avoid injuries.
Partner Drills
—If you have a training partner, practice pad work and controlled sparring to simulate real fight scenarios.
—Get feedback from your partner.
Ground Work
—MMA involves ground fighting as well, so practice grappling and submission techniques with your gloves on.
—Pay attention when your partner taps in any submission move, so that accidents are totally avoided.
Conditioning
—Incorporate strength and conditioning exercises into your routine to improve your overall fitness and performance.
Cool down
—End your practice with a cool-down session to help your body recover.
—Stretching and deep breathing can help.
